KP CM urges PTI workers to remain peaceful after supreme court decision

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision in the case concerning former prime minister Imran Khan, saying the ruling has strengthened public confidence in the judiciary.
Speaking to media representatives, the chief minister said the judiciary remained the people’s ultimate hope for justice and expressed confidence that the Supreme Court’s decision would be implemented fully and without delay.
Sohail Afridi said PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja had assured the party leadership that PTI workers would gather near the hospital while maintaining peace and discipline. He said the assurance represented a collective responsibility of the party leadership and workers.
The chief minister said the nation remained deeply concerned about Imran Khan’s health and wellbeing, describing him as a source of hope for millions of Pakistanis. He urged supporters to exercise restraint and avoid any action that could undermine the judiciary, the Supreme Court’s decision, Imran Khan or the credibility of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
He also warned that certain disruptive elements with no association with PTI could attempt to create disorder and malign the party. He called on party workers to identify and remain completely dissociated from such individuals.
Sohail Afridi stressed that PTI workers should remain peaceful and respect the law and judicial decisions until Imran Khan’s recovery. He added that political activities, public gatherings and rallies would continue afterward within the framework of the Constitution and law.
The chief minister concluded by urging supporters to pray for Imran Khan’s swift recovery and for the immediate implementation of the Supreme Court’s decision.
