Meeting held on encroachments affecting Workers’ Housing Colony and land at Regi Lalma

In line with the directions of the Governing Body of the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), Secretary Workers Welfare Fund, Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmad accompanied by Governing Body Members Mr. Farrukh Shehzad and Mr. Umar Masood, participated in a high-level meeting to review matters relating to encroachments on the Workers’ Housing Colony and the associated land at Regi Lalma.
The meeting was chaired by Captain (Retd.) Mian Adil Iqbal, Secretary Labour, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Detailed deliberations were held on the Workers’ Housing Colony at Regi Lalma, encroachments on the project land, the progress of the housing scheme, and other related matters. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to working in close coordination with all relevant departments to eliminate encroachments, safeguard the project land, and resolve all pending issues on a priority basis, ensuring that the benefits of this important housing project are delivered to the workers’ community at the earliest.
Following the meeting, Secretary Workers Welfare Fund Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmad, along with Governing Body Members *Mr. Farrukh Shehzad and Mr. Umar Masood, visited the office of Mr. Sohail Idris, Managing Director, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority. During the visit, both sides held formal and informal discussions on a range of matters of mutual interest.
The Workers Welfare Fund remains firmly committed to the welfare of workers, the protection of workers’ housing projects, and fostering effective inter-agency collaboration to ensure the timely and sustainable resolution of issues affecting the labour community.
