Workers’ remittances inflow increase by 10.6% to $19.7 bln during 1st half FY26

The overseas workers’ remittances witnessed an increase of 10.6 per cent during the first half of the current fiscal year 2025-26, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Friday.
The inflow of $ 19.7 billion was recorded during July-December 2025-26 as compared to the inflow of $17.8 billion during July-December 2024-25, showing a growth of 10.6 per cent.
Similarly, on a year-on-year basis, the worker’s remittance went up by 16.5 per cent in December 2025 to $3.6 billion, while month-on-month basis, the remittance inflow surged by 12.6 percent.
Remittances inflows during December 2025 were mainly sourced from Saudi Arabia (US$813.1 million), United Arab Emirates (US$726.1 million), United Kingdom (US$559.7 million) and United States of America (US$301.7 million).
