Pakistan’s security forces on Friday carried out a major intelligence-based operation in Kalat district of Balochistan, targeting the reported presence of militants affiliated with Fitna al Hindustan, an outfit described as an Indian proxy network. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security personnel effectively engaged the terrorist hideout. Following an intense exchange of fire, twelve Indian-sponsored terrorists were eliminated.
The ISPR stated that a cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives was recovered from the militants. The group had been actively involved in multiple terrorist attacks in the region, posing a persistent threat to local security and stability.Security forces have launched area sanitization operations to clear any remaining threats. The action forms part of the ongoing nationwide counterterrorism campaign “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, aimed at eradicating all forms of foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
The ISPR reaffirmed that operations by Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue with full determination to dismantle terrorist networks and restore lasting peace. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended Pakistan’s security forces on Monday for what he described as a “highly successful” operation in Kalat against India-sponsored militants.
According to the Interior Minister, security personnel eliminated 12 militants allegedly backed by India, thwarting what he called their “malicious designs” in the region. Naqvi lauded the professional capabilities and swift action of the forces involved in the operation.
“Security forces have crushed the nefarious objectives of India-sponsored terrorists through their successful action in Kalat,” he said. “In Balochistan, the so-called ‘Fitna-e-Hindustan’ will not be allowed to find any refuge.”
He added that the nation stands firmly behind security forces in the fight to eradicate terrorism. Naqvi reiterated that operations against India-backed militants would continue until their “complete elimination.”
