Traders’ delegation meets CCPO Peshawar to discuss law and order

PESHAWAR
A delegation of traders, led by President Mujibur Rehman of Tajiran Ittehad Cantt Peshawar, met with CCPO Peshawar Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed at the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines on Thursday.
The delegation included prominent traders’ leaders Shaukatullah Hamdard, Javed Khan, Humayun Khan Khalil, Nisar Khan, Aftab Ahmed, Haji Fayyaz, Naveed Khalil, and Mushtaq Khan, along with other members of the organization.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the prevailing law and order situation, challenges faced by the business community, and security arrangements in the city’s markets.
Speaking on the occasion, CCPO Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed said that Peshawar Police is making concerted efforts not only to protect the lives and property of citizens and traders but also to address their concerns on a priority basis.
He appreciated the continuous cooperation of the business community with the police, district administration, and other institutions, saying such coordination is vital for maintaining peace and stability in the city.
The CCPO announced that Open Courts would soon be organized to address public grievances promptly and strengthen communication between the police and the community.
He further said that joint measures would be taken with relevant departments to remove illegal encroachments in different areas of the cantonment, including Saddar Bazaar, in order to improve facilities for traders and citizens alike.
During the meeting, Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmed also directed officials to deploy additional lady police officers in markets for the safety of women shoppers and families, and to assign more traffic police personnel to ensure better traffic discipline.
CCPO emphasized that mutual cooperation between the police, business community, and the public is essential for peace and prosperity in Peshawar.
He paid tribute to the sacrifices rendered by police officers, traders, and citizens for maintaining peace in the province, particularly in Peshawar, and reaffirmed the commitment to collective efforts for the city’s stability and progress.
