Three-day hockey series concludes under KHA Women’s Wing

On the occasion of Pakistan’s Defence Day, a three-day hockey series was organized by Karachi Hockey Association Women’s Wing. The aim of this series was not only to provide opportunities for the players to progress but also to pay tribute to Pakistan’s defense heroes.
The last match of the series was played between KHA Women’s Color and KHA Women’s White teams, which was very thrilling and interesting. Both the teams played their best, but after a hard struggle, KHA Women’s Color team emerged victorious and defeated the White team. Momal Sakina and Sundas Siddiqui scored one goal each for the winning team and led their team to victory.
District Sports Officer Hajra Nawab was the special guest of the closing ceremony. Appreciating the hard work and passion of the players, he said that the female players of Karachi are no less than anyone in terms of talent.
We will not only encourage the players but also provide full support to the Karachi team. Speaking, President KHA Women’s Wing Asma Ali Shah congratulated the players on their efforts and said that the winning team achieved success through their hard work and excellent play, however, the losing team also demonstrated excellent sportsmanship. Olympian Hanif Khan said that the Karachi Hockey Association Women’s Wing has played its role in the promotion of the game by providing a platform to female players, which is a good sign. He also advised the players to work harder and improve their skills.
Secretary KHA Women’s Wing Batool Kazim handled the administrative affairs of the tournament very well and played a key role in making the event a success, while Qamar Raza handled the technical and official responsibilities in an excellent manner. At the end of the ceremony, trophies were distributed to the winning team and certificates were distributed among the players.
