‘The responsibility of peace and order in Karam lies with the provincial government’

MARDAN
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman said on Sunday that there is no Writ of government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and few people are sitting on chairs in support of the establishment. He expressed these views while talking to the media and addressing a function at Jamia Islamiya Babuzai Katlang. Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that it is not clear who is running the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He argued that the same situation applies in the federal government, where incompetent people are in power. He said that they said that they are against the establishment and our war is with the establishment, they said that if they talk, they will talk to the establishment, they said that they will not talk to Muslim League and People’s Party at all.
He added that now they have understood that they want to talk to the government and they are talking to the government, but apparently we are not seeing any progress in the negotiations.
He said that this country was created with the slogan of Islam for which Ulema had rendered matchless sacrifices.
Maulana said that his party is a political party and believes in the political process and is in favor of solving problems through dialogue.
He argued that if issues are resolved through negotiations and differences are not eliminated and attitudes moderate, it will provide the country with a suitable political environment. He added that they will remain hopeful that the negotiations will be successful.
Maulana said that there is no government in the province, the bribery market is hot, and the commission system is operating in the province. He added that it is said that a decision has been made to launch a military operation in Kurram. He argued that it will be difficult to resolve the Kurram issue through military operation and force we prefer to resolve the issue through a Jirga.
He added that we have a system in place and we can set a roadmap in this regard. If the establishment wants to build trust with us because the writ in the tribal areas belongs to our army and establishment.
He added that instead of making a one sided decision on this, it would be better to talk to politicians because tribal issues are solved through jirgas and not through force. He added that the Provincial society Act amended 2024 should be passed in all the provinces assemblies.
He added that if the provincial assembly does not pass it, its effectiveness will be limited to the federation, and we need this act across the country. He added that this movement of madrasas was for the entire country.
