Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FGE Housing Authority and ZKB Town (Pvt.) Ltd.

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s ZKB Town (Pvt.) Ltd. during an important meeting held today, October 21, 2025, at the FGEHA Headquarters, Sector G-10/4, Islamabad.
This MoU aims to develop a large-scale residential housing project under the FGEHA (JV & PPP) Rules, 2025, based on the End Product Model, with the objective of providing quality and affordable residential plots to federal government employees. In the initial phase, the project will cover more than 6,000 kanals of land, located near Islamabad International Airport and Motorway M-14. Approximately 10,000 registered members will be accommodated in the first phase of this housing scheme.
The ceremony was attended by officers of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority, representatives of ZKB Town (Pvt.) Ltd., media personnel, and officials from various government departments.
While addressing the ceremony, Director General FGEHA, Captain (R) Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, stated that this project marks a major step toward realizing the dream of providing affordable and quality housing to federal employees. He emphasized that this agreement reflects the government’s commitment to advancing residential projects under the Public-Private Partnership model.
During the meeting, the newly appointed Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Works, Captain (R) Muhammad Mahmood, was given a comprehensive briefing on the ongoing and completed projects of the Authority. The DG FGEHA informed that the Authority has made remarkable progress in providing housing facilities for federal employees. Several housing projects in Islamabad and Karachi have been successfully completed, while many others are nearing completion.
The Secretary was also apprised of the progress on major projects, including Lifestyle Residency Apartments, Sectors G-13 & G-14, and Skyline Housing Projects, among others. The Authority has also achieved notable success in ensuring modern construction standards, a transparent allotment system, and the provision of online services for the convenience of the public.
The Secretary Housing & Works appreciated FGEHA’s performance and reaffirmed that the federal government is committed to providing safe, affordable, and quality housing to its employees. He directed that timely completion of development projects and maintenance of transparency must be ensured. The DG FGEHA assured that the Authority will complete all ongoing projects within the stipulated timeframe and will continue to improve housing facilities in line with international standards.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Muhammad Sadiq Anzar, newly elected Chairman of the All-Pakistan Newspaper Employees Confederation (APNEC), presented a shield to the DG FGEHA in recognition of his dedicated efforts and appreciated his leadership and commitment.
