Shahid Khan Afridi Visits Bajaur, Announces Rs. 2m Aid

BAJAUR: It turned out to be a memorable day in Bajaur when former Pakistan cricket team captain and national hero Shahid Khan Afridi paid a special visit to the region. Despite strict security arrangements, a large number of people flocked to catch a glimpse of their beloved cricketer. Afridi received a warm welcome, and joy was evident on every face upon his arrival.
During the visit, Shahid Afridi inspected the relief camp set up at Government Commerce College, where he met displaced families, listened to their concerns, and offered words of encouragement. On this occasion, he announced financial assistance worth Rs. 2 million for the affected families, which was received with gratitude and relief.
Afridi also pledged to establish a vocational training center for women and girls in Bajaur, enabling them to acquire skills and build a better future. Additionally, he distributed school bags, books, and sports equipment among children to help them continue their education and healthy activities.
As part of his trip, Afridi inaugurated the BS Computer Science Department at Government Commerce College Bajaur, a step widely welcomed by the local community and students.
Local residents and displaced families hailed Afridi’s visit as a source of encouragement and support, saying that his compassion and assistance have boosted their morale and given them hope in difficult times.
