Senator Rubina Khalid regrets deaths of security personnel

Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, has expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of police and Rangers personnel during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest.
In a statement, Senator Rubina Khalid extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred security personnel, saying, “I share the grief of the families who have lost their loved ones in the line of duty.”
She strongly condemned the violence and damage to property perpetrated under the guise of protests, emphasizing that such actions are unacceptable.
“PTI’s behavior contradicts the principles of peace,” she remarked, adding that “terror in the name of protest will not be tolerated under any circumstances.”
Senator Khalid criticized the attacks on law enforcement personnel, stating that such actions reveal a “politics of chaos” and are a direct affront to the protectors of the nation.
She stressed that political parties should ensure the safety and well-being of the public rather than jeopardize lives.
The senator also rebuked the PTI’s stance toward law enforcement agencies, labeling it “condemnable.” She expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in KP, attributing it to the provincial government’s failure to address the ongoing crisis.
KP is burning while the Chief Minister is depending entirely on the federation’s resources and support,” she remarked, highlighting the provincial government’s shortcomings in maintaining stability.
Senator Rubina Khalid called for immediate measures to restore peace and safeguard the lives and property of the people.
