District and Sessions Courts Islamabad has reinstated on his post Dr Zia ul Qayyum who was sacked as executive director from Higher Education Commission (HEC). The court while issuing notice to HEC has sought reply from it till July 16.
Civil Judge Suleman Badar in district courts suspended the notification regarding dismissal from service.
Moazaam Habib advocate appeared in the court on behalf of Dr Zia ul Qayyum.
It has been said in the order the notification regarding dismissal from service is suspended till next hearing on July 16. The court was told HEC issued illegal notice with malafide intent to support favorites.
The counsel told the court the dismissal runs contrary to the principle set in Musharraf Zaidi case of high court.
Moazzam Habib advocate said Dr Zia ul Qayyum was appointed for 4 years in line with administrative structure. HEC sacked Executive Director illegally from service.
The court while issuing notice to HEC for July 16 sought reply.
HEC had sacked Dr Zia ul Qayyum on May 21.
