RTO-1 Karachi seals 19 outlets, recovers Rs25.5m over PoS violations

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office (RTO)-1 Karachi has intensified its efforts this month to address violations related to the Point of Sale (PoS) system within its administrative zones. RTO-1 has sealed 19 outlets due to PoS violations and has recovered Rs25.5 million in penalties from these outlets. The actions span across all four administrative zones under RTO-1. Web Desk
Seven new outlets have also been integrated into the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) PoS system during the same period.
Chief Commissioner of RTO-1 Dr Faheem Mohammad has issued strict directives to all commissioners within his jurisdiction to verify PoS systems and take swift action against violators under the law. The ongoing surprise inspections and penalties will be further intensified in the coming days.
