Punjab government commits to beautify cities across division:Commissioner

Commissioner Sargodha Jahanzeb Awan on Friday emphasized the government’s commitment to improving urban environments and beautifying cities across the division.
He expressed these views while inaugurating “The History Wall of Shahpur and Clock Tower” at the General Bus Stand Shahpur under Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s City Beautification Initiatives.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Livestock Sardar Asim Sher Maken, Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Captain (R) Muhammad Waseem, Assistant Commissioner Abid Mumtaz, local notables, and representatives from various walks of life.
The Commissioner said that the completion of beautification projects strengthened the city’s identity and provided citizens with a better and more pleasant urban atmosphere.
Sardar Asim Sher Maken stated that, on the directions of the Chief Minister, the process of renovation and beautification in urban areas is ongoing to make cities clean, attractive, and citizen-friendly.
He added that the completion of the History Wall of Shahpur and the Clock Tower reflects the continuity of this policy.
The DC emphasized that the district administration was completing urban development and beautification projects on a priority basis and reaffirmed that such initiatives will continue in the future for the benefit of the public.
