Punjab CM named chairman of PCB management committee

Mohsin Naqvi has replaced Zaka Ashraf as the head of PCB management committee

Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has been appointed as the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, as reported by sources and local media on Monday.
Mohsin Naqvi has also been nominated for the PCB Governing Board, replacing Zaka Ashraf, as per reports.
Following Ashraf’s resignation, Naqvi was nominated by the Prime Minister of Pakistan as the Patron-in-Chief of the PCB. The decision to hold elections for the PCB has also been made within the next two weeks.
Naqi also confirmed his appointment while speaking to reporters soon after the news broke out.
“I will try to fix the issues affecting Pakistan cricket. Reforms in cricket are the need of the hour,” Naqvi said.
The notification for Naqvi’s appointment could be issued today. On January 19, Zaka Ashraf resigned from the position of Chairman of the PCB Management Committee and as a member of the Board of Governors.
