PCB announces captain for series against Bangladesh

PCB has also finalised the venues for the Test series

Lahore
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that Shan Masood will remain the captain for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.
Naqvi revealed that he recently spoke with Masood via video call to discuss improvements for the team.
Masood is currently playing county cricket in London, so a face-to-face meeting was not possible. “There’s been no decision to remove Shan Masood as captain,” Naqvi stated.
“Many have given positive feedback about his leadership, and no one has provided any negative reports.”
The PCB has finalised the venues for the Test series against Bangladesh, which will be held in Multan, Karachi, and Rawalpindi.
Official dates and schedules will be announced soon.
Regarding the 2025 Champions Trophy, Naqvi confirmed that matches involving the Indian team and all other teams will be held in Pakistan.
The proposed schedule has already been sent to the ICC, and efforts are underway to ensure the event’s success.
Overhaul in selection committee
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has indicated significant changes in the selection committee, following the national team’s poor performance in the recently concluded T20 World Cup.
Naqvi stated that everyone will soon find out who will remain in the selection committee and who will not.
Addressing the committee’s mistakes, Naqvi mentioned that four different committees are currently evaluating various aspects of the team, including player adherence to instructions during the World Cup.
He assured that the findings would soon be made public.
Naqvi also mentioned that the interior ministry is not satisfied with the amount of time he dedicates to the PCB.

Despite this, he expressed confidence that the Pakistan Cricket Board would be back on track within three to four months.
