Pakistan Women’s Team reaches Japan for Open Lacrosse Championship

The Pakistan Women’s Lacrosse Performance Development Team has reached Okinawa, Japan. The national team will participate in a 5-day training camp, which is being organized in collaboration with the Japan Lacrosse Association and Fugu Japan. The national team will represent Pakistan in the Okinawa Open Lacrosse Championship from February 15 to 18, 2025, in which teams from 35 countries will participate.
The training camp is an important part of the team’s preparation, which aims to improve skills, work on strategy and create harmony among the team. During the camp, Pakistani players will get the opportunity to receive world-class coaching, modern facilities and train with international players.
This experience will play a vital role in improving the team’s performance and preparing them for the championship.
The camp, organized in collaboration with the Japan Lacrosse Association and Fugu Japan, showcases the growing partnership between Pakistan and Japan, with the aim of promoting lacrosse and fostering the spirit of international sports.
Speaking to the media, Pakistan Lacrosse Federation General Secretary Taifor Zarin said that this is a historic moment for the Pakistani lacrosse community, as the women’s team is taking another step in its journey to represent Pakistan at the international level.
Their participation in the championship demonstrates the growing popularity of lacrosse in Pakistan and the dedication of the players, coaches and supporting organizations.
