Pakistan-Malaysia relations are on new dimensions: PM

KUALA LUMPUR
Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said relations between Pakistan and Malaysia are on new dimensions and Pakistan is keen for joint ventures to benefit from experiences of Malaysia besides enhancing halal meat trade with the passage of time. .
He said this while speaking at a joint press conference with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said this is his first visit to Malaysia.

I am thankful to Malaysian president and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Malaysia is my second home. Anwar Ibrahim has a vital role in making Malaysia a developed country. He underlined Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to Pakistan in the past was a memorable milestone in bilateral relations. Positive talks were held between two countries. Expansion in bilateral ties and global issues came under discussion. This visit will help fortify bilateral relations.
We exchanged views in details on Palestine ISSUE and situation in Gaza. Pakistani students are studying in Malaysia in larger number. I welcome decision for importing halal meat worth Rs 20 crore dollars by Malaysia. We will extend halal meat trade with the passage of time. PM Shahbaz Sharif praised Malaysian PM book script saying this book will serve as bridge between Islamabad and KUALA LUMPUR.
Earlier Malaysian PM said in press conference “ We have brotherly relations with Pakistan since 1957. The ties between the two countries gained strength with the passage of time. Elaborate discussion was made with Shehbaz Sharif on regional peace and security. Grave situation in Palestine was also discussed. Global matters and regional issues were also discussed. Joint efforts of the both countries for peace will bear fruit. Anwar Ibrahim underscored that peace between Pakistan and India is essential for regional stability and that Malaysia will extend all possible cooperation to uproot terrorism.
Launching ceremony of the Urdu translation launch of the Malaysian Prime Minister’s book “The Script was held earlier . PM Shehbaz Sharif also attended this ceremony.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz was given a guard of honor as he arrived at the Perdana Putra Complex – Office of the Malaysian Prime Minister – here to meet his counterpart Anwar Ibrahim and hold the delegation level talks.
PM arrived at the venue of the official welcome reception, he was warmly received by PM Anwar Ibrahim.
