Pakistan enemies are fearful of our achievements: PM

ISLAMABAD
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said we will give a crushing defeat to terrorists so that they never dare cast an evil eye on Pakistan again.
An important review meeting on law and order situation was held under Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad Friday.
PM said our struggle will continue to completely root out terrorism from the country.
He held Pakistan’s enemies are fearful of our economic achievements.
He remarked efforts of all the institutions and provincial governments with reference to their forceful steps and campaigns against terrorism are appreciable.
He remarked federal government will extend full cooperation in augmenting the capacity of the provinces for elimination of terrorism.
We have to work together for weeding out terrorism by shunning all differences.
He said the brave officers and soldiers of security forces are confronting terrorists day and night, laying down their lives for the country.
He said the federal government will extend full cooperation to enhance the capacity of all provinces to ensure the complete elimination of terrorism and extremism. He mentioned that federal government and the provinces are working together on the narrative against terrorism, which is encouraging.
He emphasized the need to set aside all mutual differences and work together to eradicate the menace.
The Prime Minister directed that all institutions intensify efforts against smuggling.
He also directed that the noose around human trafficking networks be tightened further, and smugglers be brought to justice.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the need to complete Safe City projects in major cities at the earliest.
Detailed briefing was given to participants of the meeting with reference to law and order situation.
The meeting was informed that National and Provincial Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Center has been established at NACTA.
It was informed that a forensic science agency has been established in Islamabad, while the Forensic Science Agency in Punjab is further being improved.
It was told in the briefing that Safe city project is working in 10 cities of Punjab. Safe city projects are being set up in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkar Larkana, Mirpur Khas and Nawab Shah. Safe city project has been approved for Peshawar. Safe city projects will be installed Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu and Lakki Marwat in next phase. Gwadar safe city project will soon be completed.
Safe city project will be installed in all key cities located on national high way N-25 and N-40.
It was further told in the briefing Digital Enforcement Stations are being set up on different highways and bridges to curb smuggling.
Federal and provincial governments are working to eliminate encroachments erected in the surrounding areas of important cities.
Crackdown is being launched against baggers all over the country. Steps are being initiated to prevent such elements from travelling abroad.
Forensic science agency has been set up in Islamabad. Forensic Science agency is being improved further in Punjab.
Meeting was attended by law minister Azam Nazir Tarar, interior minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Ahad Khan, Atta Ullah Tarar, Rana Sana Ullah chief secretaries of all four provinces, Gilgit and Baltistan and Ajk and senior officers of the different government departments.
