Omar Ayub seeks IHC contempt proceeding for restrictions on meeting Imran Khan

Invoking jurisdiction of Islamabad High Court on Friday opposition leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan urged for contempt proceedings against officials who failed to arrange PTI leaders meeting with the party founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail in pursuance of the court directives.
Filing the plea through Advocate Shoaib Shaheen, the petitioner made federal home secretary, the Punjab home secretary and the Adiala jail superintendent as respondents in the matter Omar Ayub Khan requested the court to initiate contempt proceeding against all of them. He alleged that all these respondents failed to implement the court order saying despite court directives they were not arranging meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders with incarcerated party founder Imran Khan.
The petitioner submitted he was the opposition leader in the NA and representing the largest political party of the country. He further stated in the petition he needed guidance and consultations from the PTI founder for party and legal matters.
