The Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) continues to expand its influence as prominent business bodies, trade groups and market associations from across Lahore join the organization.
A series of back-to-back joining ceremonies, held at PIAF Head Office Gulberg, highlighted the group’s strengthening position under the leadership of Patron-in-Chief Mian Anjum Nisar, who is also Vice President of the SAARC Chamber.
In a major development, Moazzam Rasheed, Senior Vice President of the Sundar Industrial Estate and an important figure formerly associated with the Founders Group, formally joined PIAF. He was accompanied by delegations from the Sundar Industrial Estate Association, Glass Market Cooper Road, Beadon Road traders and the Chemical Market.
A series of high-profile joining ceremonies held at PIAF Head Office, Gulberg, witnessed unprecedented participation from leading traders, industrialists and representatives from major markets across the city.
In the first ceremony, senior business leader and former key pillar of the Founders Group, Moazzam Rasheed, who also serves as Senior Vice President of Sundar Industrial Estate, formally announced his unconditional joining of PIAF.
The event, packed with traders and business representatives, was presided over by Mian Anjum Nisar, who presented the official membership certificate to Rasheed and welcomed him into the organization.
Addressing the attendees, Mian Anjum Nisar remarked that the inclusion of seasoned business figures like Moazzam Rasheed would bring valuable strength to PIAF and significantly enhance the performance of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
He emphasized that PIAF has always valued experience, competence and commitment, and that the growing trust of renowned business personalities is the clearest evidence of the organization’s performance over the past 29 years.
Prior to the formal announcement, Moazzam Rasheed arrived with delegations from the Sundar Industrial Estate Association, Glass Market Cooper Road, Beadon Road, and the Chemical Market.
In the presence of the PIAF Executive Committee, he praised the leadership, vision and integrity of Mian Anjum Nisar, stating that his decision to join PIAF was driven by the group’s consistent work for the business community and its transparent, democratic approach.
During their remarks, PIAF leaders including Fahim-ur-Rehman Saigol, Nasrullah Mughal, Tahir Manzoor Chaudhry, Tanzeer Ahmed Sheikh and Muhammad Ali Mian highlighted PIAF’s longstanding tradition of service to the business community.
They noted that PIAF had never engaged in drawing-room politics and had instead preferred to visit markets, meet traders at their doorsteps and convey their concerns directly to authorities. They added that the steady stream of new memberships reflects the trust the business community places in PIAF’s performance, dedication and leadership.
In a separate ceremony, another influential business figure and former leader of the Founders Group, Babur Hajveri, joined PIAF along with a large group of supporters including Ahmad Mustafa, Musaddiq Iqbal, Agha Jawad, Malik Aasim and Taimoor Malik. The event attracted a massive gathering of traders from across the city.
Babur Hajveri expressed full confidence in the leadership of Mian Anjum Nisar and LCCI President Fahim-ur-Rehman Saigol, stating that he decided to leave the Founders Group due to its lack of vision and non-democratic practices. He added that PIAF’s performance, outreach, and problem-solving approach make it the most credible platform for the business community.
PIAF leadership warmly welcomed Hajveri and his team, noting that their inclusion would further strengthen the organization’s city-wide presence. They reaffirmed that PIAF has always brought forward hardworking, capable individuals from every sector and market, ensuring representation, service and continuity for the business community.
