MD of Alaska Batteries honored with Engineers Excellence Award

Islamabad: Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad, Managing Director of Alaska Batteries, a subsidiary of S.M.J. International Industries (Pvt.) Ltd., has been conferred with the prestigious Engineers Excellence Award by the Pakistan Engineering Council. Mr. Ahmad, a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with over three decades of dedicated service in the battery manufacturing industry, has played a pivotal role in advancing graphite lead-acid battery technology in Pakistan. His leadership has not only strengthened the presence of Alaska Batteries in the market but also set new standards of innovation and quality within the sector. The award was presented by the Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Mr. Khalid Hussain Magsi, at a ceremony attended by distinguished professionals and industry leaders. Mr. Musa Bin Haroon, Chief Executive Officer of S.M.J. International Industries, also graced the occasion with his presence. The recognition makes Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad the first engineer from Pakistan’s battery manufacturing industry to receive this honor. Officials of S.M.J. International Industries expressed pride in the achievement, terming it a milestone not only for the organization but for the entire engineering community.
