Maryam Nawaz visits Trimmu barrage, reviews flood situation

Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz has visited flood affected areas of Jhang and has arrived in Trimmu Barrage to review flood water situation.
Maryam Nawaz was given briefing in SCADA control room over flood situation.
Commissioner Faisalabad Jahangir Anwar and deputy commissioner Ali Akbar gave briefing.
The authorities said in their briefing the largest water flow of history passed at Trimmu barrage. Due to timely action not only Multan but also other areas remained safe. 298000 people were evacuated from Jhang before flood.
About 119000 live stock were shifted to safe places before flood. 102 live stock workers are looking after and treating the live stock.
The authorities said 21 relief camps have been set up in the district for flood affectees. 750 affectees are living therein. 181 villages of Jhang were affected due to flood.
The CM Punjab directed rescue operation range be extended till the last person. Drone , Thermal imaging camera and other technology be used to trace and identify flood affectees.
Talking on the occasion Maryam Nawaz said where help is needed , we will provide .
Saving human population will be preferred every where. she announced.
