KP ready to assist Punjab flood victims: Barriater Saif

Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr. Saif, has said that while the people of Punjab are struggling to find shelter, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is busy with boat rides. Wearing a life jacket and taking rounds in a boat cannot alleviate the suffering of the people, he remarked.
Barrister Dr. Saif urged the Punjab Chief Minister to lead from the front like Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur and take serious measures, as citizens have lost their loved ones, homes, livestock, and crops. He further stated that Maryam Nawaz should refrain from theatrics like her uncle and realize that this is not the time to chase TikTok followers but to take practical steps.
He said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur personally supervised rescue operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is now overseeing relief and rehabilitation efforts as well. The Chief Minister has doubled the compensation package for the flood martyrs and has already distributed cheques among their families. Similarly, compensation is also being provided to the injured and owners of damaged houses.
Barrister Dr. Saif affirmed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is also ready to extend assistance to the flood-affected people of Punjab.
