KP Badminton Association elections completed
Sajjad Mohmand elected unopposed as chairman, Bilal Khan as president, Mian Sadaqat Shah as secretary general for the next four years

The elections of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Badminton Association have been completed. Sajjad Mohammad was elected chairman unopposed, Bilal Khan was elected president, while Mian Sadaqat Shah was elected secretary general for the next four years.
The elections were held in the conference room of Qayyum Sports Complex, Peshawar. Representatives from 26 districts from across the province participated in the election, which was chaired by Pakistan Badminton Federation Election Committee President Raja Azhar Mahmood, while Secretary Ijaz Ahmed Rana and other members were also present on the occasion.
Pervez Butt from Pakistan Badminton Federation, Ilyas Afridi from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Olympic Association, Nadeem Khan and Aamir Iqbal from the Directorate of Sports participated as observers.
As one group was disqualified prematurely in the election, all candidates of the Bilal Khan group were declared winners unopposed. Among the elected members, Najam-ur-Rehman was elected senior vice president, Muhammad Masood was elected deputy secretary general, and Yahya Khan was elected treasurer.
The newly elected Chairman Sajjad Mohmand, while talking to the media after his success, said that now we will spread the net of badminton competitions throughout the province, provide equal opportunities to talent from across the province, while all the difficulties of badminton game and players will be eliminated very soon.
The newly elected President Bilal Khan and Secretary Mian Sadaqat Shah said that the victories of our province’s players in badminton are exemplary and we will provide more facilities to our children so that they can raise the green and red flag of Pakistan at the international level as well.
They said that for the first time, a strong team has got the opportunity and we will try to leave the past behind and work with hard work, dedication and courage to take badminton to a higher place and give other districts of the province the same position that is being given to Peshawar and Swat.
