Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Under-19 Cricket League Trophy Unveiled

The unveiling ceremony of the trophy for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s first Under-19 Cricket League organized through a collaboration between Insaf Sports and Cultural Organization and Markhor Builders was held at Peshawar Sports Complex.
The event’s chief guest was Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Syed Fakhar Jehan accompanied by Member Provincial Assembly Fazal Elahi, Markhor Builders’ owner Nabeel Afridi, Tameer Builders’ Zia-ul-Haq Afridi, President of Peshawar District Cricket Association Asghar Ali, Secretary Hanif Shah, and event organizers Zulfiqar and Shakeel. Presidents and players from various clubs also attended the ceremony.
For the first time in the province’s history the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Under-19 Cricket League will feature 40 teams from across the province. Eight players from Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team will also participate representing various teams. All league matches will be played at Peshawar Gymkhana Ground.
Speaking at the ceremony Provincial Minister Syed Fakhar Jehan stated that the provincial government is investing in players and future heroes. He emphasized the importance of organizing consistent sports activities and supporting players for national and international competitions. Our aim is to ensure that the talent of the province’s youth does not go to waste.
We are providing them with the best facilities so that they can shine on the global stage he said. The minister also announced cash prizes of PKR 200,000 for the winners, PKR 100,000 for the runner-up and PKR 50,000 each for the best bowler and batsman.
Member Provincial Assembly Fazal Elahi in his speech appreciated the organization of such a significant event at the provincial level. He noted that the province is rich in talent especially in cricket and highlighted the importance of such activities in today’s era.
Earlier Markhor Builders’ owner Nabeel Afridi and Tameer Group’s owner Zia-ul-Haq Afridi also shared their views on the occasion.
