Khushal wins UET EXPO national squash championship
Khushal Riaz Khan has won the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Expo Open Squash Championship by defeating Saddam ul Haq of Pakistan Army.
The UET Peshawar organized the EXPO 2024 National Squash Championship at Hayatabad Squash Complex Peshawar. Khushal Riaz Khan won his first round against UET’s Hamza Tariq, while he defeated Arsh Khan in the second round and Aizaz Khan of Pak Army in the third round respectively and qualified for the final of the championship.
Mr Khan won all these matches by 2-0. In the final, he faced Saddam ul Haque of Pak Army, and Khushal won the match by 2-1 and took the title of the tournament.
Talking to the media on this occasion, Khushal Riaz Khan thanked the Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the encouragement and support and said that the training and guidance of his coach, former world number 11 Amjad Khan, had a big hand in his success. Khushal expressed his determination that he will achieve more success by working hard day and night.
