KCCL Sports Festival concludes in grand ceremony
The KCCL Sports Festival held at Kohat Sports Complex concluded in a grand ceremony. The special guest of the closing ceremony, Member National Assembly, former Interior Minister Shehryar Khan Afridi and Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Mutasim Billah Shah , distributed trophies and cash prizes among the players. Col. Retired Ijaz, Organizing Secretary Kharis Afridi, District Sports Officer Kohat Zeeshan Fahim Qureshi, Chairman Board of Directors of WSSC Kohat Muhammad Saad Qureshi and other important personalities were present.
More than a hundred teams participated in the sports festival held in Kohat under the auspices of District Sports Office Kohat and in collaboration with Kohat Cement Company Limited.
The festival continued for two months. In the football final, Shinwari Football Club defeated Real Madrid Club by three to two to win the trophy, while in the tape ball cricket tournament, Shahji XI defeated Khattak Star by fifty runs.
Shahji XI won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 157 runs in the allotted two overs. Imran scored a remarkable score of 67 runs. In reply, Khattak Star team scored 107 runs.
Finally, Member National Assembly Shehryar Khan Afridi distributed prizes and trophies among the players who achieved success in various sports and encouraged them.
He emphasized that such events play an important role in developing the talents of the youth and promoting sports.
This sports festival was organized by Kohat Cement Company under the direction of Shehryar Afridi. Its aim was to provide a platform to local players and promote sports activities.
