Jordan’s King Abdullah II Arrives in Pakistan for Two-Day Visit

King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Islamabad today for a two-day official visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
At the airport, the King and his high-level delegation were welcomed by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Climate Change Musaddiq Malik, and Minister of State for Education Wajiha Qamar.
The visit reflects the longstanding fraternal relations between Jordan and Pakistan and is expected to further strengthen political, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries.
King Abdullah II is scheduled to proceed to the Prime Minister’s House for a ceremonial guard of honour, which will be broadcast live on Pakistan Television.
At the Prime Minister’s House, the King will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, followed by delegation-level discussions. The visit aims to consolidate the historic relations between Pakistan and Jordan and expand the scope of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
