Ishaq Dar chairs meeting on use of IT to improve public service delivery

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday chaired a meeting to discuss ways to leverage Pakistan’s information technology sector and digital technologies to strengthen public service delivery.
The Deputy Prime Minister underscored that improving public service delivery through technology was a priority of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Government of Pakistan.
He emphasized the importance of using technology to enhance efficiency, accessibility and ease of access for citizens.
The meeting was attended by Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, and senior officials from the Ministry of IT and Telecom and other concerned departments.
The participants discussed the potential of Pakistan’s growing IT sector and digital technologies to improve the delivery of government services and make them more accessible to citizens.
Senator Ishaq Dar emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among relevant institutions to harness technology for more efficient and citizen-friendly public services.
