Iranian ambassador calls on KP Assembly Speaker

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will make all out out efforts to promote diplomatic and trade relations between Pakistan and Iran. These views were shared by by the
Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Babar Saleem Swati during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Raza Amiri in the Speaker’s Chamber.
On this occasion, Consul General Muhammad Ali, First Secretary Hussain Maliki, Secretary KP Assembly Kifayatullah Afridi, Director of Protocol Rafiq Dawar and lawmaker Ikram Ghazi were also present.
The meeting began with prayers for the martyrdom of the late Iranian president and his companions in the helicopter crash.
The Iranian ambassador while addressing the speaker assembly said that we are longing for a peaceful and strong Pakistan and further strengthen Pakistan-Iran relations.
The Iranian ambassador expressed his wish for wide-scale trade promotion and said that we want the head of the provincial government to visit Iran with us so that positive progress can be made in this matter.
Speaker KP Assembly Babar Saleem Swati gave a positive reaction to this and termed the excellent diplomatic and commercial relations of the two countries as the key to development and prosperity.
Speaker Assembly Babar Saleem Swati said that we are also keen that the people of the two countries will have more harmony, he said that at present KP Assembly has more than 60% young educated members of the assembly who have a new way of thinking.
The Iranian Ambassador and accompanying delegation visited the KP Assembly and took a commemorative group photo.
