Indian decision to use water as weapon for aggression in extremely regrettable: PM

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said Indian decision to use water as weapon for aggression is extremely regrettable.
“Pakistan rendered sacrifices of over 90000 lives in war on terror as frontline state and suffered loss of more than 152 billion US dollars on economic front, he said during Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong meeting with PM Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House
During the meeting, the PM conveyed his warm wishes to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, and expressed sincere thanks to China for its strong and steadfast support in the prevailing situation in South Asia.
PM said Pakistan has always condemned terrorism in its all forms and manifestations. Pakistan sustained loss of more than 152 billion US dollars to make Pakistan and other world a secure place.
PM thanked China for its endorsement of his sincere offer to conduct a credible, neutral and transparent international investigation into the Pahalgam incident.
The Prime Minister said that India’s decision to use water as weapon for aggression was extremely regrettable especially as no party has right to deviate from commitments unilaterally under Indus Water Treaty.
He also underscored that peaceful resolution of the Jammu & Kashmir dispute was the only way to ensure lasting peace in South Asia.
Chinese ambassador said China will continue to support Pakistan to achieve common desire of Pakistan and China for peace and stability in South Asia.
