Imran Khan letter sent to JCC: CJP

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi has said letter of PTI founder Imran Khan has been sent to Judges Constitutional Committee (JCC) and they will decide about it as constitutional bench has to see it.
After having been administered oath I called judges of high court in my home. I will do it at every cost whatever is in my powers. The impression of court packing is wrong. I have told IMF delegation we have already done it what they were wanting from us. I asked judges to let the system run and not to stop it. I said let me bring judges. I am in favor of bringing Justice Miangul hassan Aurangzeb in Supreme Court. My brother judges who heard corporate cases are not hearing cases at present. 2 permanent benches will hear only criminal cases from next week.
We will bring judges and then the cases will be fixed for hearing.
He said this while talking to media men after meeting with IMF delegation in SC. I will hold briefing in connection with meeting with IMF delegation. I will talk about letter of PTI founder. I will talk about National judicial policy making committee.
I told delegation it is not our mandate to tell you all the details. I told the delegation about agenda of national judicial policy making committee.
I told the delegation high courts monitor subordinate judiciary.
The delegation said they want to know about upholding the agreements and property rights.
I replied we are introducing reforms in this regard.
Delegation said we want safety of foreign investment in Pakistan.
CJP said too much letters come to him. Letter of Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has also been received by him.
Pakistan is country of all of us, he added.
He went on to say letter from PTI founder has come. What PTI founder wants from us relates to clause 3 of article 184 of the constitution. I have asked committee to review this letter and then decide. PTI founder letter has been sent to judges constitutional committee.
When questioned by journalist what principles and reasons were kept in view for sending PTI founder letter to judges constitutional committee and what steps he will take to end differences in judiciary, he replied old things are running of the judges who have written letter. Their rectification will take time. These are old things. It will be all OK with the passage of time.
