How can EC change judge of ET: IHC

ISLAMABAD
Islamabad High Court (IHC) has extended till February 6 its order for stopping new tribunal of retired judge from moving ahead in its proceedings for hearing election petitions in 3 constituencies of Islamabad.
The court has given time to Election Commission (EC) and other respondents to file reply.
The court while raising question in the case against EC decision on changing Election Tribunal (ET) has remarked how can EC change judge of Tribunal.
The case against EC decision for changing ET in respect of three constituencies of Islamabad came up for hearing in IHC Tuesday.
Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq heard the case.
Advocate Faisal Chaudhry and Shoaib Shaheen appeared in the court.
IHC extended its order for stopping new tribunal of retired judge from moving ahead its proceedings till February 6.
The court remarked how can EC change judge of ET.
The counsel for EC said we will give reply to it as to how EC can change judge of ET.
EC and other respondents sought time to file reply.
CJ IHC Aamer Farooq gave time to EC and other respondents to file reply.
The CJ IHC remarked today your two petitions were fixed for hearing. The third is fixed for hearing tomorrow.
Shoaib Shaheen said we have too challenged certain vires (some clauses of law).
The CJ IHC remarked we will hear tomorrow’s petition and legal and constitutional points on February 6 along with these petitions.
