Health advisor visits PIC, inspects various departments

Advisor Health , Ihtesham Ali, paid a detailed visit to the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC) today. During his visit, he inspected various departments of the institute, met with admitted patients, and reviewed the healthcare services being provided.
Ihtisham Ali interacted with doctors, nurses, and the medical staff, seeking detailed information on the treatment facilities available at PIC. He also held direct conversations with patients, listened to their concerns, and assured them of swift redressal of their grievances.
Praising the performance of the institute, the Health Advisor said that the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology is not only a beacon of hope for heart patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but also for the wider region. He emphasized the need to further improve the quality of care and directed the hospital administration to take all necessary steps in this regard.
In a key directive issued during the visit, the Health Advisor instructed the concerned officials of the Health Department to initiate the process of establishing regional satellite centers of PIC in various districts across the province. He stated that this move would ensure that patients from remote areas also have access to timely and quality cardiac treatment closer to home.
During the visit, the Executive Director of PIC and senior officials gave a comprehensive briefing to the Health Advisor on the institute’s performance, existing challenges, and future plans.
Concluding the visit, Ihtisham Ali stated “Our priority is to ensure that people have access to quality healthcare at their doorstep. Institutions like the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology play a crucial role in the prevention and timely treatment of heart diseases. We will continue to strengthen this institution and expand its reach across the province.” He stated
