Hanif Khan Hockey Club Clinched KHA Ramadan Inter-Club Hockey Championship Title

Final of the KHA Ramadan Mubarak Inter-Club Hockey Championship between Hanif Khan Hockey Club and Youth Hockey Club at the Olympian Hanif Khan and Dr. Junaid Ali Shah Sports Complex, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, organized by the Karachi Hockey Association, was exciting and thrilling from start to finish.
In the game that changed every moment, both teams attacked each other’s goal posts vigorously, however, taking advantage of the penalty stroke given in the last moments of the game, Asim Khan of Hanif Khan Club scored the ball and gave his team victory.
For the first time in the history of domestic hockey in Karachi, a female umpire Kashmala Batool supervised the entire tournament including the final. While international umpire Chaudhry Tanveer Ahmed supervised the match from the second half.
During the match, the players objected to the umpire’s decision several times, but Kashmala Batool did not take any pressure and continued to umpire professionally. Kashmala Batool also serves as a referee in football.
In the end Chief Guest Karachi Hockey Association President Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah distributed prizes.while on this Occasion Olympians Hanif Khan, Iftikhar Syed, Wasim Feroze, Chairman KHA Gulfaraz Khan, Sr. Vice President Ejazuddin, Vice Presidents Dr. S.A Majid, Imtiaz-ul-Hasan, Mohsin Khan, Prof. Khalid Munir, Ch. Tanveer Arshad, Javed Iqbal, Sindh Olympic Association Secretary Ahmed Ali Rajput, Media Coordinator Batool Kazim and others were also Present.
Skipper Hanif Khan Hockey Club received the winner and captain of the Youth Hockey Club received the runner-up trophies. The best player and best goalkeeper of the championship were awarded to Saad Ali and Abdul Rafay of the Youth Club. Don Bosco HC and Al-Sagheer Hockey Club jointly received the Fair Play Trophy.
