Govt committed to eradicating corruption and ensuring transparency by accelerating digitization across all government department: CM Gandapur

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has achieved a significant milestone in its digitization efforts. The Communication and Works (C&W) Department has developed an advanced online system, the Public Works Management Information System (PWMIS), aimed at streamlining the implementation of development projects, financial management, and other related processes.
During a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Gandapur on Monday, officials from the C&W Department provided a detailed briefing on the new system. The meeting was attended by KP Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, administrative secretaries of various departments, and other key officials.
According to the briefing, PWMIS will enable all development project-related processes to be handled online. A dedicated dashboard will be set up at the Chief Minister’s Office, provincial departments, and the Accountant General’s Office to facilitate real-time monitoring of development projects.
The system is designed to ensure strict adherence to approved PC-1s, efficient utilization of allocated funds, and enhanced transparency.
Additionally, the new system will minimize human intervention, allow for performance evaluation of field engineers, and reduce the margin for errors.
It will also ensure the quality of development projects, secure record-keeping, and timely availability of information. Speaking at the meeting, Chief Minister Gandapur hailed the launch of PWMIS as a commendable initiative.
He emphasized that the provincial government is committed to eradicating corruption and ensuring transparency by accelerating digitization across all government departments. The C&W Department’s implementation of PWMIS is a significant step in this direction, with plans to extend the system to all works-related departments in the future.
