Governor Kundi visits PSO Head Office Karachi; stresses for identifying new sites in KP

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday visited the head office of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) in Karachi and stressed the need to expand PSO’s presence further in KP by identifying new sites.
During a meeting with PSO’s Managing Director, Syed Muhammad Talha, they discussed various matters including foreign investment in oil refineries and other bilateral issues.
During the meeting, PSO’s MD briefed Governor Faisal Karim Kundi in detail about the agency’s operations.
They also exchanged views on the transportation of petroleum products, ports-related logistics, and other pertinent topics.
Governor Faisal Kundi highlighted the expected increase in demand for petroleum products post-CPEC completion and emphasized the need for proactive planning to meet future demands.
He noted that a significant number of individuals involved in the oil transport business have connections to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, underscoring the region’s importance in the sector.
Efforts to address existing hurdles in foreign investment in oil refineries were also discussed, with a commitment to resolving these obstacles.
Highlighting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s substantial market for PSO, Managing Director Syed Muhammad Talha reaffirmed PSO’s commitment to expanding operations in the region.
The visit underscore ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and PSO, crucial for fostering economic growth and development in the region.
