Gilani vows to develop South Punjab

ISLAMABAD
Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has reiterated his longstanding commitment to the development and prosperity of South Punjab and the welfare of its people.
He was talking to Hafiz Hussain Ahmed Madani and Nawabzada Sardar Rafiq Abbasi, who called on him separately in Islamabad Friday.
The Acting President said South Punjab is very close to his heart and that the development and prosperity of South Punjab is integral to the overall progress of Pakistan.
During these meetings, matters relating to South Punjab came under discussion, with a particular focus on the region’s needs and priorities.
The visitors appreciated the services rendered by Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani for Pakistan, particularly for South Punjab.
They also paid tribute to his timely and effective public service initiatives during the recent floods, noting his active role in relief and support efforts.
