Funeral prayers of martyred excise officials held Peshawar Police Lines

The funeral prayers of Excise Police officials Mujahid Khan, Iftikhar Khan, and a private driver, who were martyred in an indiscriminate firing incident by unidentified assailants on Taro GT Road targeting the Excise Intelligence Squad EIB-II, were offered with full official honors at Police Lines Peshawar.
The solemn ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials including Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, Director General Excise Abdul Haleem Khan, CCPO Peshawar Qasim Ali Khan, Secretary Local Government Dr. Amber Khan, SSP Operations Masood Bangash, Excise and Taxation Officers Syed Naveed Jamal and Haq Nawaz Khan, Provincial Incharge Excise Intelligence Bureau Saud Khan Gandapur, and Circle Officer Akif Nawaz Khan, along with numerous officers and personnel from both the Excise and Police Departments.
The gathering paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the martyred officials, reaffirming their commitment to continue the fight against crime and ensure the safety of the public.
Later on, The funeral prayers of Constable Mujahid Khan offered in his native village Lund Khwar with full honors.
A large number of people, including senior government officials, Excise Department officers, and local residents, attended the funeral to pay their respects to the fallen hero.
Minister for Excise Khaliq-ur-Rehman, MPA Muhammad Abdul Salam Afridi, Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, Secretary Excise Department; Masoodul Haq, Excise and Taxation Officer (Counter Narcotics Operations); Syed Naveed Jamal, Excise and Taxation Officer; and Saud Khan Gandapur, Provincial Incharge, Excise Intelligence Bureau also attend the funeral prayers.
Also present were officers from the Motorway Police and local police departments, including Akif Nawaz Khan, Circle Officer Khyber and Peshawar; Faisal Khan, SHO Excise Police Station Peshawar; Shakeel Khan, SHO Excise Police Station Mardan; and Tahir Khan, SHO Excise Police Station Swat.
Following the funeral prayers, Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman, MPA Muhammad Abdul Salam Afridi, and Secretary Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah laid floral wreaths on the martyr’s grave, hoisted the national flag and the Excise Department flag, and offered prayers for his forgiveness and elevation in rank.
They also met with the bereaved family and offered their heartfelt condolences. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman said, “The courage and sacrifice of our brave personnel like Mujahid Khan, who laid down their lives in the line of duty for the safety and sovereignty of the nation, will never be forgotten. Their legacy will continue to inspire future generations.”
