Federal govt’s anti-terrorism policy flawed: Barrister Saif

PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s Information Advisor, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, has said that the federal government must urgently review its policy on the war on terrorism.
In a statement issued here he stated that due to the flawed policies of the “fake federal government,” funerals are being held daily in KP. Barrister Saif said that innocent civilians, including children and women, were being targeted in the ongoing conflict.
He condemned the federal government’s indifference towards such a critical national issue, calling it both regrettable and shameful.
He emphasized that dialogue with Afghanistan was essential to bring an end to terrorism. However, he alleged that the federal government is neither engaging with Afghanistan itself nor allowing the KP government to do so.
Barrister Saif noted that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was taking serious and practical steps to restore law and order. He highlighted that tribal jirgas have been convened at the Chief Minister’s House as part of these efforts.
He urged the federal government to support Chief Minister Gandapur’s initiatives instead of politicizing the issue of terrorism. He added that the federal government was undermining the KP government’s sincere efforts and sacrificing them for political gains.
