Fazal Shakoor issue directives for expediting of PHE development schemes

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering, Fazal Shakoor Khan, has issued clear directives to the concerned officers of the department to further expedite the pace of work on ongoing development projects across the province.
He emphasized that any kind of negligence, inefficiency, or unnecessary delay in public welfare schemes would not be tolerated.
He urged that all projects must be completed in accordance with the approved timelines.
The Provincial Minister also directed that all schemes for which PC-I documents have not yet been prepared should be completed on an immediate basis. He instructed that all PC-I documents be submitted to the Planning and Development (P&D) Department by next week for approval in order to accelerate the overall development process.
The KP minister issued these directives while chairing an important review meeting regarding Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) schemes on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Chief Engineers, Executive Engineers (XENs), and other concerned officers.
A detailed discussion was also held in the meeting on ongoing and proposed PHED schemes across the province. The Provincial Minister was briefed on various PHED projects, particularly highlighting the progress of ongoing schemes, challenges being faced, and the future course of action.
The briefing also covered the pace of project completion along with technical and administrative matters.
Mr Fazal Shakoor Khan, on the occasion, said that the provision of clean and safe drinking water to the people is a top priority of the incumbent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government.
He emphasized that the Public Health Engineering Department must ensure effective, transparent, and result-oriented measures to achieve this objective. He directed the concerned officers to perform their duties with full integrity, dedication, and professional competence.
