The Dosti Peshawar Women Literature Festival 2024 concluded today at the Catering Hall, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU), Peshawar, after five transformative days of celebrating women’s creativity, leadership, and intellectual contributions.
The closing ceremony commenced with opening remarks by Prof Dr. Safia Ahmed (T.I.), Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar. A documentary video, showcasing highlights from the 2nd edition of the Dosti Peshawar Women Literature Festival 2024 was played on the screen. A keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Akif Ullah Khan, Director, IRNUM.
The highlights included poetry recital by Beenish Asmat Ullah, followed by a panel talk. Irfan Khan, Program Manager, Dosti Welfare Organization, reflected on the festival’s impact, emphasizing its role in promoting women empowerment in literature. The ceremony was honored by the presence of the Minister for Finance Muzammil Aslam and the Minister for Social Welfare Syed Qasim Ali Shah, who served as the Guests.
The Dosti Peshawar Women Literature Festival 2024 concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Hamida Bibi acknowledging the collective efforts made by the faculty, administration and students volunteers the event a success.Dr. Hamida Bibi and deputy registrar affiliation and monitoring Tashfeen Zia Chief Organizers of the festival, co organisers Ms Sania siraj, dr sumaira gul and de zarmina baloch were the team of the festival.
