Details of penalties imposed on power distribution companies, K-Electric released

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has released details of penalties imposed on power distribution companies on fatal and non fatal accidents . Fine amounting to Rs 64.50 crore was slapped on DISCOS, NTD and K-Electric regarding fatal accidents while fine amounting to Rs 33 crore was imposed on non fatal accidents . Penalty of Rs one crore was imposed on NTDC due to fatal accidents . Fine of Rs 9.55 crore was slapped on K-Electric supplying electricity to Karachi for the period from 2018 to 2025. Online
