Danish schools project faces funding halt

ISLAMABAD
Under the Danish Schools project announced by Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Shehbaz Sharif, schools are being established in various parts of the country to promote quality education. While a number of Daanish Schools have become operational under this national education initiative, several others are still at different stages of construction.
According to sources, construction work has been severely affected due to the non-availability of financial resources, reducing the likelihood of completing school buildings within the stipulated timeframe. Educational circles state that the core objective of the Daanish Schools project is to provide high-quality, modern, and uniform educational facilities to children from underprivileged and low-income backgrounds.
However, the suspension of funds has placed this important education initiative under serious strain. Education experts and public representatives have urged the authorities to release the allocated funds for the Daanish Schools project without further delay, so that ongoing construction can be completed and the government’s commitments toward the promotion of education can be translated into practical outcomes.
