PESHAWAR
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, praised the efforts of all stakeholders involved in conducting anti-polio campaigns under challenging conditions in the province, calling their work “no less than jihad.”
Speaking at an event in Peshawar on “International Polio Day”, the CM acknowledged the sacrifices made by polio workers and law enforcement officers and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eradicating polio from the province.
He urged the public not to boycott polio campaigns due to a lack of facilities, emphasizing that doing so would harm their own children.
He assured that the government was working to improve facilities in underserved areas and that the upcoming anti-polio campaign will focus on regions previously overlooked.
The Chief Minister emphasized that it is the government’s responsibility to provide basic facilities, and efforts are being made to address gaps in underserved areas.
