PTI announces Sept 27 rally in Peshawar.
PESHAWAR
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced what he calls the biggest rally in the province’s history, following the directives of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
In a video statement issued by Gandapur urged people to participate in large numbers to send a clear message to the world that the nation firmly stands with Imran Khan.
“Imran Khan is fighting a decisive battle for the future of the nation and its children, and assured that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will stand by him until victory is achieved,” he stated.
Gandapur emphasized that the movement was against an oppressive system, not individuals, and called on supporters to end internal divisions, unite, and back each other in this critical time. “Imran Khan has instructed us to end all differences. I appeal to everyone to leave behind disunity and make a pledge to stay united,” he said.
He also announced that “Durood Sharif” would be recited in the gathering as a mark of spiritual unity and respect for the Holy Prophet (PBUH), followed by the largest collective prayer for peace, justice, and national progress.
PTI MNA Asif Ali in a statement stated that “the time has come to unite for the freedom of Imran Khan and the future of the country,” urging citizens to join the rally led by CM KP Ali Amin Gandapur.
Former MNA Sajid Nawaz also appealed to the public to participate in the rally and “take the fight for truth and freedom forward under the leadership of Ali Amin Gandapur.” He said that although Imran Khan is in jail, his message “lives on in every heart.”
A meeting of the Insaf Students Federation (ISF) was also held, chaired by CM Gandapur, and attended by ISF Provincial President Musharraf Afridi and other organizational leaders.
Gandapur praised the passion and unity of the youth, calling it the “guarantee of the rally’s success and the future of PTI.”
It is pertinent to mention here that PTI founding chairman Imran Khan himself has called on the public to attend the mass rally, describing it as a demonstration for the nation’s freedom.
Moreover, PTI has appointed CM KP’s spokesman, Faraz Mughal, as the focal person responsible for organizing the event. Party leaders have termed the gathering a landmark moment in the ‘movement for real freedom’ and a powerful call for Imran Khan’s release.
CM chairs a high-level meeting
A high-level meeting on the Annual Development Programme (ADP) was chaired by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar. The session reviewed both the physical and financial progress of priority development projects. Administrative secretaries of relevant departments, along with officials from the Planning and Finance Departments, attended the meeting.
Departmental briefings were given to the Chief Minister on the progress of ongoing projects. The Chief Minister directed the identification of priority schemes that can be completed within the current financial year, stressing that the timely completion of the maximum number of development projects is the provincial government’s top priority. He assured that funds required for these schemes would be released on a priority basis.
“The ultimate objective is to complete public welfare projects on time so that people can benefit from them without delay,” he said. The Chief Minister noted that delays in fund releases often hinder project completion, causing wastage of public money.
