IG Motorway Police Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry held a live e-khuli

The National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) regularly organizes live E-Khuli Katcheries on a monthly basis to strengthen public outreach and responsiveness. After assuming the office of Inspector General, IG Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry participated for the first time in a live E-Khuli Katchery broadcast simultaneously on FM-95 Radio and the official NHMP Facebook page.
During the session, IG Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry listened to the concerns of citizens and employees through live calls and issued clear and prompt instructions to the concerned officers for immediate redressal. On the occasion, he emphasized that the foremost priority of the National Highways & Motorway Police is to provide timely assistance to the public and to ensure that travel remains safe and convenient. He reiterated that no compromise would be made on the safety of travelers or the provision of swift assistance on national highways and motorways.
The Inspector General stated that, in terms of performance and professionalism, the Motorway Police enjoys a distinguished reputation at both national and international levels, and that leading such an exemplary force is a source of pride for him.
Citizens also shared their valuable suggestions during the E-Khuli Katchery, which were appreciated by the IG. He further highlighted that effective policing and the dedicated efforts of NHMP officers have resulted in a significant reduction in traffic accidents on motorways and national highways. The IG appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to the Motorway Police and to strictly comply with traffic laws, particularly by following the travel advisories issued during the fog season. Before commencing their journeys, citizens were advised to obtain real-time road updates through Helpline 130 or the Motorway Police’s official social media handles @nhmp.
The Inspector General described the E- Khuli Katchery as an effective, transparent, and efficient platform for direct public engagement, swift resolution of issues, and direct access to senior leadership. To further enhance public awareness, road safety education is being modernized in line with contemporary requirements.
IG Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry also highlighted initiatives related to employee welfare, departmental promotions, and measures taken to address manpower shortages. He reaffirmed that the core mission of the National Highways & Motorway Police is to serve the public and ensure road safety, and that all available resources are being utilized to achieve this objective.
