NAB KP hosts Anti-Corruption Event at Governor House
WCCI president highlights root causes of corruption in the country

PESHAWAR
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) KP organized a high-profile event at the Governor House to mark the International Day of Anti-Corruption.
The event was attended by dignitaries including the Director General of NAB KP, Chief Secretary, Directors NAB, Vice Chancellors, and Parliamentarians.
Quratul Ain, President of the Women Chamber of Commerce Peshawar and Convener of the FPCCI Regional Committee on NAB & Anti-Corruption, delivered a keynote address, highlighting the root causes of corruption in the country.
She identified broken systems and the appointment of mediocre individuals to key positions as major contributors to corruption.
Quratul Ain emphasized that corruption is not only a hindrance to economic growth but also has a devastating impact on the minds of the youth, leading to disappointment and disillusionment.
She stressed that accountability, transparency, and integrity are essential to combating corruption and promoting good governance.
“We need to embed these values in the minds of our young people and start with awareness and speaking the truth,” Quratulain said.
“It’s time to take concrete actions against corruption and promote transparency in all spheres of life.”
Quratulain appreciated the efforts of NAB KP, saying that people still have trust in the institution. She congratulated Mr. Farmanullah, Director General of NAB KP, for doing an amazing job in improving the situation and recovering a significant amount of money in just a few years.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of corruption and the importance of promoting transparency and accountability in governance.
The attendees engaged in a lively discussion and shared their perspectives on ways to combat corruption and promote good governance.
