Abdullah Govt College triumphs 3–0

Women’s Hockey Series

In the second match of the friendly women’s hockey series organized by the Karachi Hockey Association (Women’s Wing), Abdullah Government College for Women secured a convincing 3–0 victory over the School of International Education.
Played at the Olympian Hanif Khan and Dr. Junaid Ali Shah Sports Complex in Gulshan‑e‑Iqbal, both teams displayed impressive skills. Goals from Maryam Naz, Ayesha Batool, and Ayesha Khan sealed the win for Abdullah Government College. Despite the defeat, School of International Education’s captain, Shanzay Zahid, was praised for her spirited leadership and determination.The first match of the series between the two teams had ended in a draw.
KHA Women’s Wing Secretary Batool Kazim appreciated the players’ performance, highlighting that the association is working at the grassroots level with schools and colleges to promote girls’ hockey.
She noted that these efforts are yielding encouraging results, with new talent emerging to strengthen the future of women’s hockey in Karachi.
