Chairman CDA’s efforts for making Islamabad beautiful

Islamabad bring the capital city of Pakistan, is renowned for its natural beauty, greenery, and well-planned urban layout. In recent times, the efforts of the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) under the vision of Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi and under the leadership of Muhammad Ali Randhawa has significantly contributed to enhancing the city’s charm and livability.
With a vision for a cleaner, greener, and more modern Islamabad, the Chairman CDA has initiated a series of impactful projects aimed at beautifying the city and preserving its natural environment. One of the key areas of focus has been the enhancement of greenery across the city.
Massive plantation campaigns have been launched in collaboration with National Press Club and other various public and private sector organizations. More than one million trees and flowering plants have been plantation and are being planned along roadsides, in parks, and in green belts. The revitalization of CDA Nursery transforming it into Gardenia Hub, public parks and recreational spaces is another major achievements of CDA. Parks such as F-9 Park, Lake View Park, and Daman-e-Koh have been upgraded with better landscaping, lighting, walking tracks, and children’s play areas. The restoration of these spaces has provided citizens with cleaner and more attractive places for leisure and physical activity.
The Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa is a sportsman as well as sports lover. He has planned to functional 25 cricket and 25 football grounds in the federal capital besides establishing peddle courts.
Moreover Paper Mulberry trees are being removed into phases thus replacing with environment friendly trees. Regular cleanliness drives, improved waste management systems, and the deployment of modern machinery have led to visibly cleaner streets and public areas. Special attention has been given to the timely collection of garbage and the removal of illegal dumping sites.
Under the Chairman’s leadership, illegal encroachments have been removed, and public spaces have been reclaimed for community use. This has not only improved accessibility but also restored the city’s original planning and symmetry.
Roads and footpaths have been repaired and widened, while modern and fancy streetlights have been installed on major roads and bridges. Traffic signals have been installed to improve safety standards and visibility.
Furthermore, the beautification of 279 parks, major roads, intersections, entry and exit points of the city has given Islamabad a fresh and modern look.
Art installations, fountains, and well-maintained green areas now welcome visitors and enhance the city’s identity as a clean and cultured capital. The CDA is working in coordination with environmental experts, healthcare professionals, and urban forestry planners to ensure a balanced and sustainable approach to the tree replacement process.
